The VA's electronic health record modernization program, now under Oracle Health (formerly Cerner).
Why It Matters
This is the same underlying platform as DoD's MHS GENESIS, but the VA deployment has faced persistent challenges including usability issues, patient safety concerns, and repeated schedule delays. Not to be confused with VistA, the VA's legacy EHR that Oracle Health is meant to replace. The program has been one of the most scrutinized IT projects in federal history.
