USCDI

United States Core Data for Interoperability. The standardized set of health data classes that systems must be able to exchange.

Why It Matters

Updated annually by ONC. USCDI defines the minimum data elements (demographics, medications, allergies, conditions, etc.) that certified health IT must support. Each version expands the required data classes. USCDI v4 includes social determinants of health data. If your system claims interoperability, it must support the current USCDI version.
