Why It Matters
Cardiovascular disease causes more than 200,000 preventable deaths annually in the U.S., and nearly half of U.S. counties have no practicing cardiologist. ADVOCATE is structured around three Technical Areas: TA1 (patient-facing CVD agent), TA2 (disease-agnostic supervisory architecture), and TA3 (health system integration). The TA2 winner owns the oversight layer for every subsequent clinical agentic AI in healthcare. Awards expected June 2026; total program length 39 months.
