Government-Wide Acquisition Contract. Multi-agency contract vehicles that any federal agency can use to buy IT products and services.
Why It Matters
The big ones: SEWP (NASA; SEWP VI ordering planned to open November 1 2026) and Alliant 3 (GSA; 43 Phase 1 awardees of a planned 76, Notice to Proceed March 10 2026). NITAAC CIO-SP3 takes no new orders after October 29 2026, with orders ending by December 31 2028 and no successor, because CIO-SP4 was cancelled January 30 2026. Getting on a GWAC is a major business development milestone because it opens the door to task orders from across the government. GWACs reduce procurement friction for agencies and increase market access for contractors.
