A national framework for secure, directed health information exchange using Direct messaging.
Why It Matters
DirectTrust enables point-to-point health data exchange, similar to encrypted email for clinical documents. It is a TEFCA QHIN and is widely used for referrals, care summaries, and transitions of care. Direct messaging is particularly important for connecting smaller providers who may not participate in query-based exchange networks.
