How Mission Meets Tech handles your data. I wrote this in plain English because you shouldn't need a lawyer to understand what happens to your information.

The short version
- We collect your email when you subscribe or use our tools. That's the main thing.
- We use cookie-free analytics (Plausible). No tracking across sites.
- We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
- You can delete your data anytime by emailing us.
Who We Are
Mission Meets Tech LLC ("MMT," "we," "us") operates missionmeetstech.com. We provide federal health IT intelligence, including the MMT newsletter (free, twice a week), the Fed UP podcast, ProposalPulse proposal assessments, and MarketPulse market briefs.
Information We Collect
We collect only what we need to deliver our services:
- Email address — when you subscribe to the newsletter, use ProposalPulse, or purchase a MarketPulse brief
- Documents you upload — proposal documents submitted to ProposalPulse for analysis
- Payment information — processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card number
- Usage data — anonymous page views via Plausible Analytics (no cookies, no tracking)
Website Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics tool. No cookies, no personal data collection, no cross-site tracking. We see aggregate page views and referrers. We don't see who you are.
Email Subscriptions
Newsletter subscriptions are managed through Buttondown and LinkedIn. We collect your email address to send you the newsletter. That's it. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send. We do not sell, rent, or share your email with third parties.
ProposalPulse — Document Analysis
When you submit a document to ProposalPulse, here is exactly what happens:
- Your document is uploaded to our server (Netlify Functions) for text extraction
- Original files are not stored. Only the extracted text moves forward in the pipeline.
- Extracted text is sent to the Anthropic API (Claude) for analysis. Data is processed by named service providers and is not used to train models.
- Scorecards and related assessment outputs are stored in our database (Supabase, hosted on AWS) for retrieval and email delivery, and may be retained.
- Extracted text may be retained for up to 90 days to support score retrieval and follow-up review.
- Your content is not shared with third parties beyond the named service providers that process the analysis.
Important
Do not upload classified, ITAR/EAR, or otherwise restricted government material. This service is designed for unclassified proposal drafts only.
MarketPulse — Market Briefs
MarketPulse briefs are generated using publicly available federal procurement data. Your email is collected for delivery and stored in our database. Brief content is generated via the Anthropic API and a research intelligence provider (for live web research). The same no-training guarantee applies: neither provider trains on your data.
Payments
All payments are processed by Stripe. We store your Stripe customer ID to manage your account. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card number. Stripe is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified.
Data Storage & Security
- In transit: All connections use TLS/HTTPS encryption
- At rest: Database storage is encrypted (Supabase on AWS with AES-256)
- Access: Database access is restricted to server-side functions via service keys. No client-side access.
- Retention: Original files are not stored. Extracted text may be retained for up to 90 days to support score retrieval and follow-up review. Scorecards and related assessment outputs may be retained beyond that.
Third-Party Services
We use the following services to operate MMT. Each has its own privacy policy:
Your Rights
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. We will remove your account, scorecards, and any stored document text within 30 days. Newsletter unsubscribe is instant via any email footer link.
Changes to This Policy
We'll update this page when our practices change. Material changes will be noted with a new effective date at the top. We won't reduce your rights without notice.
