System for Award Management. The single government database for vendor registration and contract opportunities.

Why It Matters

No SAM registration, no contract awards. SAM.gov is where federal contracts and solicitations are posted and where vendors must register before receiving any federal contract, grant, or cooperative agreement. Registration is free (if someone charges you, it is a scam) and must be renewed annually.
