CIO-SP4 Cancellation: What Happened
In January 2026, NITAAC cancelled the CIO-SP4 solicitation after years of bid protests and legal challenges. The $50B GWAC was intended to replace CIO-SP3, which has been extended as a result.
The cancellation forces agencies to rely on existing vehicles (CIO-SP3, OASIS+, SEWP VI) and has created uncertainty for firms that invested heavily in the CIO-SP4 bid process. Watch for a potential rebid or alternative acquisition strategy from NITAAC.
